Is Sculptra better/safer than BBL?
There is no good “brazilian” butt lift option
Both surgical BBL and non-surgical (liquid) BBL are problematic and dangerous
500ml of fillers in your butt, to only last you less than a year and cost as much as a normal BBL? There is zero logic in that.
What about non-surgical BBL with a machine, e.g. RF microneedling, HIFU, RF or other technology?

There is no good “brazilian” butt lift option
Is vaping better than smoking? Is saturated fat better than sugar? Are cocktails better than beer? Is death by heart disease better than death by stroke?
As there is no good choice between the above options, there is also no good choice between non-surgical butt fillers (now pathetically known as “liquid BBL”) and surgical brazilian butt lift (“normal” BBL).
Both choices have their risks and dangers, up to the point of death, with death from BBL being more common and death from liquid BBL also occurring.
On the other hand, disfigurement by butt fillers is perhaps much more common than disfigurement by BBL surgery, simply because more people have it done by unprofessional practitioners.
Both surgical BBL and non-surgical (liquid) BBL are problematic and dangerous
Surgical BBLs are indeed provided by qualified surgeons but it the nature of a brazilian butt lift that occasionally (1 in 3000 cases, apparently) someone dies, especially when the procedure is provided in less regulated places like Turkey. The examples are countless but here are two:
Non-surgical BBLs are currently provided by doctors, nurse and also by any Tom, Dick and Harry and the results speak for themselves:
Mum dies after liquid BBL when people trust ”lip kings”
Another case of butt fillers gone wrong
This is what responsible doctors have to say about liquid BBLs
And this is what Save Face have to say about liquid BBLs
Note: some people confuse hyaluronic acid fillers with Sculptra, which is poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA) injected to stimulate collagen production. Poly-L-lactic acid cannot create volume, it’s for tightness and is as problematic as any injectable: if something goes wrong, good luck trying to fix it.
At least with hyaluronic acid fillers you can inject hyaluronic acid to break it down. If excess collagen production occurs in the wrong place with a PLLA filler, it's quite difficult to break it down, even with collagenase.
500ml of fillers in your butt, to only last you less than a year and cost as much as a normal BBL? There is zero logic in that.
“When 0.1ml of filler in your face can make you blind, imagine what 500ml of filler in a much bigger blood vessel [in the buttocks, as Katie Price had] can do”, aesthetics doctors say, and they are quite right.
And this is the problem with liquid BBL: you need to inject HUGE amounts of filler with multiple injections, quite often over multiple sessions. And as fillers only last a few months you have to repeat the multiple injections once to twice a year.
This makes liquid BBLs an accident waiting to happen, as with each injection the chance of something going wrong increases. In the end - as people who have fillers year-in, year-out can attest - something does go wrong, especially when we talk about huge volumes of 500ml - or even 100-200ml - at a time.
Not to mention the cost: a full-size BBL can cost as much as £10,000 for the benefit of having a large butt for a mere few months. At least with a real BBL the results last you 4-5 years, before everything starts going south due to the effect of gravity, combined with skin loosening, and the result is what is known as ‘saggy BBL’.
And if you thought that using “permanent” filler is the solution, well, think again. At least when a temporary filler goes wrong, the result diminishes together with the filler within a few months (unless you get scar tissue / granuloma, which may last for months/years). If a permanent filler goes wrong, you are definitely disfigured for life - unless you spent tens of thousands of pounds at Harley Street to (partially) correct it.
What about non-surgical BBL with a machine, e.g. RF microneedling, HIFU, RF or other technology?
There is no technology on this planet that will increase the size of your butt, either with fat or with collagen. None.
Butt size can only increase with a surgical BBL, a liquid BBL, by building up your gluteus maximus muscles (with squats, pelvic thrusts and similar exercises) or by getting fatter. Anyone who claims otherwise is a fraudster - pure and simple - and anyone who believes such claims is either too naive too desperate or both.
Personally, if I felt my bum was too flat I would do a 20-minute high-intensity butt resistance workout three times a week for several months or, for some people, years) until I got some appreciable muscle volume on my butt.
If I was thin, potentially I would also put on a bit of weight.
And if I was totally insecure and desperate I would choose the best surgeon in London to have a BBL.
But never in a million years I would come anywhere near a liquid BBL practitioner to put fillers on my butt, and pay thousands of pounds and get into dangers for temporary results.
